Family is very important to me and I wanted to show this through my quote. I aspire to be just like my parents when I grow up, and I hope I can be as kindhearted as they both are. They have truly shaped me into the person I am today and I’m beyond proud to be their daughter. The quote I have decided to choose is “Blessed are those that can give without remembering and receive without forgetting”. I really think this quote speaks to me on many levels, it has taught me to be humbler and it’s a constant reminder to be thankful for what I have. I chose this quote because my mom always used to say this to me when I was younger and it has taken me a while to seek its true meaning, and this project has brought me to it. My mom is a person I really look up to and I think that this quote coming from her made a much bigger impact on me personally. Its meaning to me is that if you give someone a gift it shouldn't be a huge deal, it should not be something you show off it’s something you should want to do or comes natural to you. When you receive, it should mean a lot and you should be thankful that people care and are there for you, which makes a gift worth remembering. The message in this quote is very important and I think many people in this world need to read it and take it in to perspective and compare it to how they are living their lives. Even I sometimes like to read this quote to bring me back to reality when I start to get ahead of myself. To end my thoughts, I really think that hearing words like this from someone you genuinely look up to is very important, like in To Kill a Mocking Bird, scout has a lot of influential people in her life and they say a lot of important things that you can tell impacted her actions, and growth as a person throughout the book. I really enjoyed taking the time to read To Kill a Mocking Bird and doing so helped remember out a quote like this. It has become a really influential part of my life and I think it’s a perfect way to describe my life story so far. Master behind the quoteThe brilliant author Elizabeth Bibesco was a popular English writer and socialite. She was the daughter of a British Prime Minister and married a Romanian prince. She was active as a writer from 1921-1940, and during her golden years wrote many poems, stories, aphorisms that enlightened many. Even at a young age she showed compassion for charity and helping others, many said she acted well beyond her years at the time. Bibesco unfortunately passed away April 7th, 1945, but her legacy of a quote has lived on for many generations, and generations to come. Her quote has impacted my life a lot and i'm glad to have her wisdom in the back of my mind.
